Tom & I noticed that Alex is nonexistent in the birthday pictures, & that Abby has her eyes closed in several pics, so we will be posting more photos soon. This is all part of my coursework in the challenging “Kathy learns the computer” course in which I am currently enrolled. The final exam will be when Tom ships out & I have to navigate this new-fangled contraption by myself. ![]()
Three years ago yesterday, a beautiful princess came into our lives. Abby is 3 years old now, and I have never seen such a sweet, loving little girl; I couldn’t be more proud of her!
Kathy outdid herself this year with the cake. Behold a castle fit for a queen:
And here is Princess Abby opening gifts from some of her adoring fans, including a beautiful blanket made by Gram:
Nana gave both of our girls an American Girl Bitty Baby for their 3rd birthdays - here they are playing with them together:
And here’s a little trip down memory lane from Abby’s 0th, 1st, and 2nd birthdays:
Here’s Alex’s first laugh. Ok, it is his second; after the first we ran to get the video camera. Apparently, touching his nose is hilarious.
And here is a medley of preschool songs by Anna, initially (and briefly) accompanied by Abby:
This is Anna’s actual prayer which I am not making up:
“Dear God, thank you for this day.
Thank you for this I do not like soup.
Help us to be good, help us to be thankful.
Help me to not eat this soup because I don’t like soup.
In Jesus name, amen.”
October is visitor month at the Wright House. Gram came to visit last weekend, and by “visit” I mean “shower the girls with art supplies”. She couldn’t have picked a better gift idea–the girls LOVE doing art. Here are a couple of pictures from her visit.
Gram and her girls getting their art on:
Alex asking Gram where *his* art stuff is:
Gram and Abby with Uncle Mick and Aunt Al at the pumpkin patch:
I’ve gotten behind on updating this lately. Here are a few pictures from Grandpa & Grandma’s visit a few weeks ago.
One of Grandpa & Grandma’s annual gifts to us is money to buy a zoo membership, which Kathy and the girls use all the time. The weather was perfect while they were visiting, so we all got to go together:
Alex’s new fans:
Anna loves her grandpa!
Last Thursday, we were blessed by such a wonderful time at my baby shower. It was at Elizabeth’s house, and was full of great food & awesome friends. It really made us feel so loved! Check out the table decorations - the flower pail & blanket (made by Elizabeth) are from Alex’s nursery bedding. Thanks to everyone who came & shared this special evening with us.
